Summary

A cross-sectional study of 140 nurses in Hebron, West Bank, found that all participants experienced moderate levels of occupational stress, with workload and role conflict identified as the primary stressors. The research used the Health and Safety Executive Occupational Stress Scale to assess stress levels between December 2023 and March 2024. Key findings indicated that systemic and organizational factors, rather than personal demographics, were the main contributors to stress. No significant associations were found with age, gender, marital status, job title, or work experience (p > 0.05). The study suggests interventions targeting workload management, supportive leadership, and work autonomy could help mitigate stress among Palestinian nurses.
