Evidencia de Comportamiento Reproductivo de Tortuga Verde del Pacífico Oriental (Chelonia mydas) en el Parque Nacional Archipiélago de Revillagigedo, México

Researchers document the first photographic evidence of mating behavior in Eastern Pacific green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) at two sites within Mexico's Revillagigedo Archipelago, Bahía Azufre on Clarión Island and Bahía Vargas Lozano on Socorro Island. This discovery suggests an extended breeding season beyond previously documented nesting peaks. The study, part of a broader effort to establish baseline data for turtle conservation in the region, combines monitoring efforts with health assessments to better understand reproductive patterns and inform protection strategies for this endangered species.
