Summary

A smart system framework for UNESCO World Heritage Sites, exemplified by the Longmen Grottoes in China, reveals significant potential for integrating emerging technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and big data to enhance tourism services. The study identifies four key dimensions—smart service, smart experience, smart management, and smart marketing—as critical components for heritage site development. Through content mining of high-frequency words from the Longmen Grottoes' WeChat official account and image perception analysis, alongside field investigations, researchers evaluated the current state of smart system implementation. The findings highlight both advancements and challenges in adopting such technologies, offering strategic recommendations to optimize heritage management and visitor experiences.
