This study reveals how the city's spatial organization, rooted in Islamic and Hindu traditions, creates a dynamic itinerary through its red sandstone palaces and buildings, characterized by twists, turns, and surprises rather than strict axial symmetry. The research demonstrates that individual pavilions within the city serve as key reference points, guiding movement and reinforcing the overall urban design. By redrawing on-site measurements of the city's layout and pavilion plans, the authors illustrate how these spatial ideas are intricately linked to the broader concept of Fatehpur Sikri, highlighting an interdependent relationship between architecture and urban planning.
