Summary
A survey of terrestrial gastropods in the Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, Brazil, identified four land snail species: two endemics (Hyperaulax ridleyi and Ridleya quinquelirata) and two widespread species (Beckianum beckianum and Allopeas gracile). Hyperaulax ridleyi was the most abundant. This study provides critical baseline data for the conservation of these vulnerable, endemic species, marking a significant step toward developing future protection strategies for the archipelago's terrestrial biodiversity.
