Summary
A significant positive correlation exists between tourists' perceptions of climate change and their carbon offset behaviors at forestry heritage sites, with ecological identity and environmental responsibility acting as intermediary factors. Health attitudes moderate this relationship, while gender, age, and educational background also influence behavior development. The study, conducted using PLS-SEM analysis on 384 visitors to Mount Wuyi, sheds light on the internal mechanisms driving carbon offset behaviors in heritage tourism contexts, offering insights for sustainable tourism practices aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
