Summary
Arequipa's historical center, built on layers of sillar stone and earthen streets, holds a living memory that challenges the city's current deconstruction. This study proposes an integral renewal approach to amplify collective identity and restore historical connections, addressing the absence of housing and diversity in its urban fabric. By advocating for a manifest from Arequipa to Latin America, it seeks to reimagine the city as a dynamic space where past and present coexist, ensuring rights as patrimonial subjects are recognized. The research combines qualitative analysis with architectural and social perspectives to deconstruct existing scenarios, offering a visionary framework for sustainable urban renewal.
