Summary
A study of soft-bottom habitats in Coiba National Park, Panama, uncovered 19 interstitial species of syllid polychaetes (Annelida), including two new records for the Pacific Ocean and five new to Panama. Notably, Exogone (Exogone) longicornis exhibited triangular subterminal processes not previously documented, while Syllis botosaneanui was observed as viviparous for the first time. Additionally, a single specimen of an undetermined Syllis species, characterized by a long pharynx, dorsal prostomial lobes, and unique compound chaetae, was identified but not formally described due to insufficient data.
