Summary

A systematic analysis of night tourism products in Xidi and Hongcun, China, reveals that while tourists highly value night landscape viewing and overall safety, significant improvements are needed in catering experiences, transportation convenience, cultural performances, and shopping. Using field research, questionnaires, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), the study identifies key areas for enhancement to meet tourist expectations and sustainably develop night tourism. Prioritizing catering, transportation, and cultural performances while leveraging existing strengths in safety and landscapes can optimize the visitor experience at these UNESCO-listed sites.
