Summary

A standardized approach for analyzing data from static Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) systems has been developed, enabling systematic interpretation of real-time monitoring data for historical buildings. This method introduces specific descriptors to evaluate stationary or evolutionary structural conditions, contributing to the management and preservation of cultural heritage sites. Applied to the Cathedral of Modena, this multi-disciplinary, multi-analysis approach integrates field data with numerical models, enhancing the reliability of structural assessments. The study highlights the complexity of describing all possible structural responses in historical masonry monuments but demonstrates that a combination of methods yields more accurate results.
