Summary
A strong positive correlation exists between the physical-spatial qualities of Tabriz Historic Bazaar and users' place attachment and cultural identity, with these qualities significantly influencing both. The study, employing a descriptive-correlational approach using a 385-person sample, found that identity markers, historical value, spatial legibility, and architectural quality were key perceived components. Regression analysis confirmed that physical-spatial attributes explain variations in place attachment and cultural identity, highlighting the bazaar's role as a social-cultural environment beyond economic function. These findings underscore the need for integrated conservation strategies that prioritize user engagement, social interactions, and cultural continuity alongside architectural preservation.
