Summary
A multidisciplinary educational initiative at Serra da Capivara National Park (PNSC) successfully bridged classroom learning with hands-on field experiences, enhancing students' understanding of prehistoric art and cultural heritage. The study, conducted in 2019, involved high school students from the Escola Sesi Ignez Pitta de Almeida, integrating subjects such as Art, History, Geography, and Biology. Through a combination of theoretical studies, seminars, and fieldwork at PNSC—including visits to the Museu do Homem Americano and Museu da Natureza—the project demonstrated how immersive learning in preserved historical and biological sites can deepen comprehension of complex academic concepts. The approach highlighted the value of multidisciplinary collaboration and field-based education in fostering both student engagement and pedagogical innovation.
