Summary
A significant disparity exists between community-based and non-community-based associations regarding perceived benefits from Bale Mountains National Park, with the former showing more substantial advantages (χ² = 92.071, df = 1, P < 0.05). Despite variations in local perceptions of park conservation, communities actively contribute by mitigating fire outbreaks and reporting wildlife attacks. Internal factors outweigh external ones in shaping the effectiveness of community-based conservation approaches, underscoring their critical role in successful biodiversity preservation. The study employed a mixed-methods approach, analyzing both primary and secondary data to assess the impact of these strategies on socio-economic development and conservation outcomes.
