Aramaic graffiti from Hatra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in North Iraq, offer unprecedented insights into the daily life of this ancient civilization between the 1st and 3rd centuries AD. Analyzing 48 published and 37 unpublished graffiti, researchers Marco Moriggi and Ilaria Bucci reveal the city's vibrant social interactions through epigraphic and archaeological methods. The study, based on the Archive of the Missione Archeologica Italiana (Turin), provides a comprehensive edition of these texts, including concordances with other Hatran texts and detailed archaeological context.
