Summary

Research on the Early Medieval period of Saryarka remains significantly understudied due to limited archaeological data and scarce written records spanning a millennium. The Turkic Khaganate's expansion in the 6th century marked the beginning of this era, yet systematic study has only recently gained momentum, primarily through expeditions like the Central Kazakhstan Archaeological Expedition, Saryarka archaeological expedition, and Karaganda University. While there is a positive trend in studying funerary and memorial monuments, accumulated data remains insufficient for comprehensive analysis, suggesting that primary data collection may continue for over a decade without substantial progress.
