Summary

The exhibition 'The Spring of Love and Inspiration,' marking the 100th anniversary of the TASSR, revealed distinct manifestations of national identity in artists' works. Some creators focused on ethnic microcosms, integrating history, nature, mythology, and language, while others expanded their artistic scope to depict common Turkic imagery. This study, a collaboration between the Kazan Kremlin State Museum-Reserve and the Moscow Mardjani Foundation, analyzed these tendencies to highlight how artists both preserve cultural heritage and transcend it. The research underscores the dynamic interplay between individual artistic expression and collective identity within the UNESCO-listed Historic and Architectural Complex of the Kazan Kremlin.
