Summary
Research identifies the high-stratification cultural landscape area in Mount Wuyi, revealing its core landscape value and dynamic evolution across six historical periods—from Tang to Qing dynasties and contemporary times. This study introduces a novel approach combining Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) and Historic Landscape Characterization (HLC), enhanced by GeoDetector technology for objective element screening. Findings show a rising trend in cultural landscape diversity, with Taoist and neo-Confucian influences dominating, and a distinct 'T-shaped' spatial structure forming in contemporary times. Natural factors like river systems and topography, alongside human elements such as political beliefs and economic development, shape the stratification differences. This work provides a scientific basis for quantifying cultural value in national parks, offering insights for landscape representation and resource management.
