Historical traditions and cultural and economic tenability of the modern landscape design of the Residence of Bukovinian and Dalmatian Metropolitans

A unique park within the Residence of Bukovinian and Dalmatian Metropolitans, now part of Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, combines three distinct landscape styles—Italian garden, French regular park, and English landscape park—reflecting its layered historical development. This study reveals how the park's design evolved through different periods, shaped by landscape designers and clergymen, while analyzing its current challenges and proposing innovative solutions to enhance its cultural and economic viability. Notably, the research introduces the concept of a symbolic Bible garden, aiming to create a new tourist attraction that preserves the site's heritage while integrating modern landscape techniques.
