Summary
A significant increase in conflicts between capuchin monkeys and visitors at the swimming pools of Brasília National Park (PNB) has been linked to food brought by tourists, which attracts the monkeys. Research conducted on-site reveals that these interactions often lead to aggressive behavior from the monkeys, posing risks to visitors' safety and health. The study proposes practical solutions for park management to mitigate these conflicts, including better waste management, visitor education, and environmental enrichment strategies for the monkeys. These recommendations aim to reduce human-monkey interactions while preserving the ecological balance of the park.
