Summary
A new annotated list of 25 Orthoptera species, including 14 recorded for the first time from the Lena Pillars National Park (Yakutia, Russia) and adjacent territories, significantly expands the known fauna of the region. Among these, rare species such as Tetrix japonica and Arcyptera albogeniculata, along with Crysochraon dispar—a new addition to Central Yakutia's fauna—were identified. The study reveals that the park's Orthoptera community is dominated by Trans-Eurasian polyzonal (36%) and forest/forest-steppe species (24%), providing insights into the ecological composition of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. This research contributes to biodiversity documentation in one of Russia's most ecologically significant regions.
