Summary

A study assessing tourism potential in Yazd's Fahadan neighborhood reveals that while the host community highly values the impact of UNESCO World Heritage inscription, tourists prioritize local capacities. Despite positive perceptions from locals and the area's cultural richness, inefficiencies in tourism management hinder its ability to attract visitors. The research used surveys with 170 participants each from both groups, analyzing responses via SPSS to evaluate three key components: impacts of inscription, local capacities, and other factors. Findings highlight a disconnect between community attitudes and tourist expectations, underscoring the need for improved organizational oversight.
