Summary
A study of 90 ceramic-clad facades in Brasília revealed that damage, particularly tile detachment, is most severe on north- and west-facing walls, especially those over 10 years old. The research developed a systematic methodology to inspect, map, and quantify pathological manifestations, identifying continuous walls as the most affected regions. By analyzing buildings aged 5–48 years, the study established damage intensity indices linked to solar orientation and age, providing critical insights for assessing facade degradation in ceramic-reinforced structures.
