Summary
Researchers have identified distinct conductive zones within the crust and high-resistivity zones in the upper mantle along the Dalnerechensk–Nakhodka Bay profile, confirming latitudinal zonality in the Central Southern Sikhote Alin Fold System (SAFS). The study used magnetotelluric soundings to map the geoelectric section of the lithosphere down to 150 km, revealing differences between the Late Proterozoic–Paleozoic Khanka Massif and the Albian-Cenomanian SAFS. Additionally, it demonstrated the impact of coastal effects on Wiese vectors, linking them to conductive zones in the crust and faults. This provides new insights into the geological structure and tectonic processes of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
